Game Times Released for Inaugural Battle in The Vault at Pinnacle Bank Arena

Lincoln, NE – The Battle in The Vault is excited to announce the schedule and game times for this year’s event at Pinnacle Bank Arena on December 20. The three-game event will feature over 25 players that grew up playing high school basketball in the state of Nebraska. Game times for the event are as follows:
1:00 PM Concordia University Nebraska vs Oklahoma Wesleyan University
4:00 PM Mississippi State University vs Drake University
6:30 PM University of Nebraska vs Queens University
“We are extremely excited about the upcoming college basketball season and can’t wait to bring this event to Lincoln, which has some of the most loyal fans in the country,” said Battle in The Vault Event Organizer Jake Headrick. “Each game of the event has strong ties to the state of Nebraska.”
The event begins with the local NAIA team, Concordia University Nebraska, which features many former high school players from Nebraska, against Oklahoma Wesleyan University fresh off an Elite 8 appearance and a 34-3 overall record at 1:00 PM.
Following the event opener will be a battle of NCAA top 100 teams when one of the SEC’s best Mississippi State University takes on the Missouri Valley Conference favorite Drake University at 4:00 PM. First year head coach Chris Jans has been to 3 of the past 5 NCAA tournaments with New Mexico State and looks to continue the success at Mississippi State. Drake is led by last season’s MVC Freshman of the Year and Omaha native Tucker Devries.
The event concludes with the hometown University of Nebraska Cornhuskers facing off with Queens University of Charlotte at 6:30 PM. The Cornhuskers bring in a top 35 recruiting class including many local Nebraska players. Queens University will be playing its first NCAA Division 1 season this year, but it is coming off a 30-4 season in Division 2 and a trip to Elite 8.
